Funding Application Submissions
Major record labels used to provide funds and advances to artists they were interested in developing. This is less common nowadays as the onus is more and more on artists, managers, producers to fund their own music projects – recording, live performance, marketing & promotion, and develop themselves to become more attractive to major and larger independent record labels. This means that securing grants, loans, and even funds from outside investors is more important than ever for the growth of your music project. SoundPlan has a great track record in preparing successful grant and loan applications for its clients.

- Canada Council grants. The Canada Council for the Arts offers a broad range of grants to Canadian artists and arts organizations. For artists there are grants for sound recording, travel, touring, residencies, festival programming, and various other programs.
- VideoFact & PromoFact grants. MuchMusic, MuchMoreMusic and MusiquePlus funds grants available to artists and music-related companies for the production of music videos (VideoFact), websites (PromoFact), and electronic press kits (PromoFact).
